Christmas gift, just finished today.

At nearly 1100 pages, it read alot easier, I thought, than some of the other King novels.

FWIW

Nice TD. I have heard good and bad reviews.

What about you?

Mixed reviews.
Nothing/no one leaping up and down either way.

For me, carnage within the first 10 pages always works. I would like to have seen some meet their demise a little more "deservedly". Not a lot of "flashback" scenes which in the past has bogged King down in my opinion.

I'd say to a first-timer of King, don't be intimidated by the length (nearly 1100 pages). It moves along at a good clip.

I've finally found time to start on a book after 20 years putting it off. My kid gave me his writing and composition textbook to refresh my grammar. Any pointers?
