Should be another good year for softball in the MSL

Lakewood - Once again, untill someone knocks them off
Granville - Graduated alot, including Barker and Burkett. What's in their future
Valley - Lost 3 good Seniors, but return alot as well.
Newark Catholic - Looks to have turned the corner the last 2 years, should be a big year.
Heath - Another team that has some questions, but usually finds a way to win some games
Whitehall - Young last year but will be well coached and also win games
Bexley - Coach?? alot of questions, but AD Feesler will be good for that program!

Any thoughts??

Not sure about Bexley. Softball has never been a big sport there and they will have to compete with the girls soccer program which rules at Bexley. The soccer players are expected to play year round which doesn't allow them much time to play other sports (especially softball). I hope their program will improve but I with the prevelance of soccer I think it will be an uphill battle for them.

My take listing in order of how they will finish:

Lakewood - until someone knocks them off still the team to beat.
LV - could be the team to knock Lakewood off their thrown.
Granville - young but will give everyone in the league a game each night.
NC - has a lot to prove with senior laden team. However pitching is the big ?. Wild or consistent.
Heath - program going the wrong way.
Whitehall - not a lot returning.
Bexley - athletes but not in softball.

I think Lakewood, Granville and Heath lost the most to graduation. LV lost 3 seniors but seems to have a lot of talent returning. NC and Whitehall are two that have the kids to move up the ladder. Bexley is an unknown.

My early prediction

1st and 2nd - Lakewood and LV (Any Order)
3rd thru 5th - Granville, NC, Whiteahall (Any order)
6th - Heath
7th - Bexley

Didn't really give you a definite prediction, did I?
